You are capable to be your best self

Ever feel like all your hard work has gone to waste? Especially when it comes to our diets and physical health. I remember experiencing this in my twenties, after months of hard work at the gym, I got sick. Two months later, I went back to the gym and felt like I had to start all over again. All my previous hard work had gone to waste. But did it?

Yes and no.

Of course, I had to rebound from my set-back and put the effort in to find my strength again. Over time, I returned to the higher weight repetitions, and regained my cardio stamina. However, it did not take as long as I thought it would because my brain had created long-term muscle memory. You see for every task we repeat, our ‘muscle memory’ builds.

This is true for our digestive health as well. The more we learn what works for us and nourish ourselves appropriately for our dosha, the more our ‘muscle memory’ builds and the easier it becomes to find our way back to health when we have set-backs.

Then when there is Amatoxic buildup in the body, we don’t have to panic, give up or feel hopeless. Instead we can turn back to the wisdom of Ayurveda to increase our Ojas (oh-jus)the container that holds your abundant energy and get back to balance.

Foods can also make you feel good and clear and energized.According to the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda , proper digestion is key to physical and mental health. Today, science has confirmed the gut brain connection.

Ever feel like you are in brain fog after eating too much? Or feel bloated or uncomfortable after eating a certain food type? Foods can also make you feel good and clear and energized. You can also feel good and energized from your food. What we digest will manifest in body, mind and soul.

There are many signals our body and mind send to us. Ayurveda teaches us how to read the signs and make the changes needed to come back into balance.

To reduce Ama—that toxicity—and increase Ojasthe end product of perfect digestion—it’s essential to have strong Agni, or digestive fire.

When you are healthy, you are full of Ojasvibrant, energized, balanced, and peaceful. When you are unhealthy, you are full of Amaexhausted, lazy, smelly and sick.

Having the knowledge to ascertain the source of Ama and make the changes (over time) is the life-changing wisdom of Ayurveda.

On this road to vitality and to becoming your best self, know that you are capable!
